The San Antonio Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (SACPAAA) is made up of graduates of the San Antonio Citizen Police Academy. The first graduating class of the San Antonio Citizen Police Academy in 1994 founded the Alumni Association to have an avenue to further their volunteer work with the police department and to be able to raise funds for necessary projects.

The Citizen Police Academy (CPA) is an 11 week course that educates the citizen on the structure and activities of the police department. Information on the San Antonio Citizen Police Academy can be found on the SAPD website.

SACPAAA members volunteer for many activities at the department. They participate as actors in cadet training at the police academy. The members volunteer for many activities outside the department as well. They help man the phones for the KONO Cares Radiothon for the San Antonio Children's Shelter, and help serve at the San Antonio 100 Club's annual spaghetti dinner.

Our fund raising efforts have allowed the SACPAAA to donate CPR manikins to the academy, training dummy for defense work, and bicycles for the Bike Patrol. Paws For Justice is the largest fund raising effort to date.
